Cordão de Ouro@Georgia Tech is a student organization at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
It is dedicated to the teachings and philosophy of Capoeira, under the direction of Instrutora Bebê.
Capoeira is an art form that synthesizes elements of martial arts, fitness, dance, gymnastics, music and Brazilian culture.

Mestre Suassuna was on the East Coast, and in Atlanta, Georgia, for the first time to attend our First Annual International Batizado. This was a great honor for us!!!
This year Mestre Suassuna held the 10 year commemoration of his annual Capoeira festival in Bahia, Brazil, Capoeirando. Tournaments, debates, rodas, philosophies and workshops (capoeira, samba, maculele, puxada de rede, danca afro-brasileira) were taught by world-renowned Capoeira masters. Included in these events was a graduation ceremony for Bebê, awarding her the rank of Instrutora in Capoeira.
Below are two games: the first, a Miudinho game played as a part of her ceremony; the second, to gain the level of Instrutora.
