About

The Chamber Choir is Tech's select, auditioned mixed vocal ensemble. Founded in 1998, the choir has quickly established itself as one of the premiere college vocal ensembles in the southeast. Its singers are selected through private audition. Chamber Choir attracts the finest choral musicians on the Tech campus. The repertoire is more challenging than the Chorale, and requires out-of-class preparation to participate. It is open to all singers who have been in Chorale or Glee Club for at least one semester.

Rehearsals

The Chamber Choir meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM in the Navy ROTC Armory.

Performances

The Chamber Choir generally performs twice as a full ensemble during the semester, though this is subject to change. These have consisted of attending a church service midway through the semester and a capstone performance at the end. Members may also choose to involve themselves in additional opportunities to perform. In the past members have been invited to sing in an on-campus Christmas concert and at the PhD and Master's commencement.
