Meeting Minutes for 1/29

Three constitutional amendments were voted on from National Convention. Basically, they wanted to change the wording slightly. All passed.

There will be a Collaborative Kitchen Activity on February 12th, 4:30-7:30. Please contact Stephen if you are interested at gt0146c. About 15 people are needed.

REMINDER: you must have 2 activities and attend 2 meetings or 1 activity and 3 meetings to be an active member (and receive your stole when you graduate!)

There will also be an Engineering Futures session coming up, the date TBA. This will also count as an activity.

Sarah Alexander from GT Engineering Advisory Council came and spoke to us about Engineer's Week. E-Week will be the week of Feb. 18th. TBPi will host the Quiz Bowl once again, to be

held on Wednesday, Feb. 21st, probably at Juniors again. We will need help with the following duties:

NEED LOTS OF VOLUNTEERS!!!!!

We are looking into a social at a Thrashers game. Date TBA.

Officers will be elected at the next meeting February 19th.Here is a list of officers and their duties

President- Run meetings, oversee that the chapter is running smoothly and other officers are performing their duties

V.P. of Programs - Set up volunteer and community activities, and social events for the organization

Executive V.P. - in charge of membership and running initiation. Also coordinates the corporate dinner in the fall. Time consuming, but good experience (which means good resume fodder!)

Treasurer - Handle all money transactions. In charge of dinners for the meetings.

Corresponding Secretary - IN charge of signing off documents for national and compile activities and reports for national at the end of the year.

Recording Secretary - IN charge of writing minutes for the meetings. Also organizes the EIT review sessions each semester

Publicity- sends emails to announce meetings, organize picture in Blueprint, announcements in Technique

Membership Chair - records attendance at meetings and activities to keep an updated list of active members

Web Developer - in charge of updating the email list and web page

Nominations will be taken at the next meeting also.

Next EIT date is April 21, 2001.

Big thanks to Stephen (current treasurer) for ordering Chinese for dinner tonight!!!! Some of us were getting tired of pizza and subs.
