Hey everyone! Here are the minutes from the meeting on Monday, April 5.

*Spring Initiation will be on Thurs. April 15 at 6:30. If you are
interested, Shannon says that she would "love" your help. Please meet at
the Clary Theatre of the Student Success Center at 5 PM if you plan on
helping out and attending. Following initiation, a banquet will be held at
the Olive Garden. 
 
*Grant reported on the many activities which took place at the district
convention in Puerto Rico. There the attendees witnessed a Spanish
initiation, a folk dancing show, and were even given salsa lessons. We are
being considered as a possible candidate for hosting the 2000 convention.
Jon may try to get together a committee to investigate this possibility
further. Ideas include co-sponsoring it with Mercer Univ. but we also must
keep in mind that we will be doing a lot of planning over the next year
for differences due to semester conversion. In order to hold the
convention here, we are going to need huge membership support and this
will definitely be discussed in detail later. 
 
*The social activity being planned for this quarter is a Braves game. So
dust off your tomahawks, and think about what would be a good day of the
week to go. We are currently discussing the idea of going following this
quarter's Saturday Engineering Futures Session. 
 
*We also elected Mo Kamel to the position of Membership Chair.
Congratulations to him! Please keep in mind that we are still in need of a
Corresponding Secretary. This is a very important position and needs to be
filled as soon as possible. If you would like to nominate someone or even
yourself, please send an e-mail to Stacey (gt6754c).
 
*A list of projects for the quarter will be sent out over e-mail when they
are finalized.
