TBPi Meeting Minutes 
 
    April 10, 2000 
 
    I. Officers 
    Abdul Altamimi (gte873q) is our new VP of Computers. The new office 
    hours is as follows: 
    Monday 3-4 Abdul Altammimi 
    5:30-6:30 Jon Gassett 
    Tuesday 11-12 Jenny Lam 
    1:30-2:30 Chris Cummings 
    Wednesday 1-2 Stephen Swan 
    Thursday 10-11 Joe Pierce 
    Friday 9-10 Stacey Harmidy 
 
    II. Initiation: Initiation is scheduled for Thursday, April 20th. !5 
    new members were voted in and will be inducted. 
 
    III. E.I.T. Review: Review Sessions for the EIT on April 15th began on 
    Monday, April 10 and will last until Thursday, April 13. Two sessions 
    will be held each day at 4:30-6PM and 6:30-8PM, all in Howey-Physics LR 
    4. 
    The schedule is as follows

    IV. Projects: 
    A. Earth Day: Is scheduled for April 21. If you are interested in 
    participating, contact Stephen at gt0146c 
    B. Cookout: Is scheduled forApril 22 at 6th St. volleyball courts. 
    Winnie has sent the email concerning times, food, activities, etc. 
    Respond to her email (gt4685b) if you are planning to attend, the # of 
    guests you will be bringing, and what item(s) you will be bringing. 
    Come and enjoy free food, fun, and the sun!!! 
    C. Collaborative Kitchen: Is scheduled for April 27. Please 
    contact Stephen (gt0146c) if you are interested. 
    D. Social Activity: Was originally scheduled for April 23 for a 
    Braves game, but due to the fact that it's Easter Sunday, it will be 
    changed. Stay tuned for final details. 
 
    V. Corporate Dinner: The coporate dinner is scheduled for the Sunday 
    before the Career Fair in the fall. This is the time in which we have 
    about 5 companies pay to come and present to us at a formal dinner. 
    This is the main fundraising event for Tau Beta Pi. If you are in town 
    during the summer and would like to help organize this event, contact 
    Jon at gt8833a. We need committees to seek out the companies and plan 
    the dinner. If you have specific companies that you would like to come 
    and present, please email your suggestions to Jon. 
 
    VI. District Convention: District Convention was held on March 
    31-April 2 at FSU. Jon Gasset, Chris Cummings, and Joe Pierce attended 
    on behalf of Georgia Tech. 11 chapters attended altogether. The idea 
    has been brought up for 2001 District Convention to be held here in 
    Atlanta. The bid will be put in at Nationals....stay tuned for final 
    outcome. 
 
    VII. Miscellaneous 
    A. Graduation Stoles: They are available for $20 for active 
    members. Come by during the office hours to pick one up. If you have 
    questions as to whether you are considered active or not, contact Betsy 
    (gt1262a). 
    B. MS Walk: Abdul will be volunteering at this event held on May 
    13th in Marietta. If you are in town during this time and would like to 
    volunteer, contact Abdul for further details (gte873q) 
 
    This was the last meeting of the semester! Good luck to all on the 
    remainder of the semester and on finals! Congratulations to all members 
    that are graduating!! Have a great summer!
