Hello everyone! Here are the Tau Beta Pi minutes for the meeting on
October 25th. 
 
The remaining meetings for the semester are:
November 15th
December 6th (Social activity- bowling in the Student Center was a popular
idea)
 
The remaining activities for this semester are:
November 8th: Collaborative Kitchen (Contact Ellen at  if you interested)
November 13th: Engineering Futures Session (~1-5 PM)
Nov. 14th: Student Center Display Case decoration with Winnie
 
Initiation is scheduled for Dec. 2nd at 6:30 PM. Everyone is invited and
please
let Shannon know if you are planning on attending. We are going to vote on
the 
new electees at the meeting at the Nov.15th meeting, so please plan on
attending.
We hope to initiate 40 new members.
 
Stacey recently attended the National Convention for TBPi in the wonderful
city
of Madison, Wisconsin! She had a few things to report to everyone about
that.
 
Some key points were:
*Applications for TBPi scholarships, fellowships, and loans are now
available. If
you are interested, please see Stacey.
 
*Do you know what the TBP Laureate Program is? A Laureate is a Tau
Bate who has
exceptional talent outside the field of engineering. Candidates may be
nominated
 for contributions in the arts, athletics, diverse achievements, or
service. A laureate
receives a $2500 cash award, recognition at the national convention, and
 lots of publicity! Please let the officers know if you (or another Tau
Bate in
GA Alpha) should be nominated by our chapter. we must have nomination
materials
finished by March 15th.

*District 5 Convention will be help April 1-2, 2000 in Tallahassee,
FL by FSU.
